Canada: Construction of a biocrude production facility
Construction has been initiated on a 10.5 million gallon per year biocrude production facility located in Port-Cartier, Québec. The Cote Nord Project, which is being developed by Ensyn, Arbec Forest Products and Groupe Rémabec, will utilise Ensyn’s proprietary Rapid Thermal Processing (RTP) technology. The RTP conversion unit is being engineered and supplied by Envergemnt Technologies, a joint venture between Ensyn and Honeywell UOP.
The project will be the first RTP facility purpose-built for the production of biocrude used for heating, cooling and refinery applications. The plant will be the first commercial-scale facility of this kind in Québec.
