Nature Energy to invest US$5.3 billion in new biogas plants.

Nature Energy, based in Odense in Denmark, has announced a new strategy for growth, outlining plans to invest DKK 35 billion (US$5.3 billion) by 2030 in the construction of new biogas plants in international markets. By 2024, Nature Energy plans to be building between 10 and 15 new plants annually.

Nature Energy currently operates 12 biogas plants in the EU, and by 2022, the company will have further extended its portfolio with plants in new markets in Europe and North America.

At the same time, the company has a number of new technologies in the pipeline  says CEO Ove Hvelplund, which will help it to halve its production costs over time.
