Extension of a waste-to-energy plant

Steinmüller Babcock Environment has been awarded a contract for the extension of the Premnitz waste-to-energy (WtE) plant. The company will be adding a new line (EVE 2) that is designed to process household and commercial waste and refuse-derived fuel (RDF).

Commissioning for the facility is scheduled for mid-2021.

Australia – Resource Recovery Facility

Development of a resource recovery facility

In January, it was announced that Bioelektra Australia had been awarded the contract to fund, build and operate a new resource recovery facility (RRF) on a site located adjacent to the West Nowra landfill in Shoalhaven.

Planning approval is expected towards the end of 2019, with the facility scheduled to be operational during 2021. It will help to extend the life of the landfill by over 50 years.
