US: Development of a waste recycling and disposal facility

In Connecticut, the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) have been working towards redeveloping the Connecticut Solid Waste System Project (CSWSP).

Lithuania: Construction of a co-generation power plant

Lietuvos Energija has reported that they have been issued with a construction permit to allow contractors to start laying foundations of their new power plant. It was originally hoped that construction would begin in the first quarter of 2017, but as the Municipality was still finalising details of the height of the building, this was consequently delayed.

Work is now scheduled to be completed towards the end of 2019/early 2020.

Full details from this project can be found here.
