8.8 MW biomass plant
It has been announced that a biomass plant in Lian is to be shut down in order to assess technical problems and determine what the future of the facility will be. Operations were earlier ceased by Aseagas due to a halt in the supply of organic effluent wastewater.
The plant first commenced operations back in October 2016, around two and a half years after construction began. Financial support was provided by the Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP), and Aseagas also disclosed that it has repaid this outstanding loan.
