Development of a 75 MW biomass plant

Kanda Biomass Energy has reached financial close for its planned 75 MW biomass plant in Kanda, Fukuoka Prefecture. The facility, which will use forestry thinnings, wood pellets and palm kernel shells as feedstock, will produce around 500 million kWh of electricity each year.

Weekly Projects Update – 47 new/updated projects, worth an estimated US$10,237m

In the week ending 13th July 2018, AcuComm added 13 new projects to our database and updated a further 34. These projects have a combined estimated value of US$10,237 million.

This brings the total number of projects in the database to 5,203. In total, they have an estimated value of US$346.2 million.

Development of an aircraft recycling facility

Aircraft Recycling International has announced that its new recycling facility has commenced operations in Harbin, Heilongjiang Province.

Located on the south side of Harbin Taiping International Airport, the facility has handling capacity of 20 aircraft per year. All dissembling, maintenance and recycling processes will be completed at the site.

Bosnia and Herzegovina – Landfill & Recycling Yard

Construction of a solid waste landfill and a recycling yard

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) is considering providing financing to a new project in Živinice, which is aiming to prevent pollution of local water and soil and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

As part of the project, the site will accommodate a 5.85-hectare landfill and a regional waste management centre (including recycling, MBT treatment and composting facilities).

AcuComm’s Daily Full Access Project – Finland Biofuel Plant

Construction of a plant to convert sludge into biofuel

C-Green Technology has been granted nearly SEK 22.7 million to develop a sludge to biofuel plant at Stora Enso’s mill in Heinola. New technology will be used at the facility to pressurise and heat large amounts of wastewater sludge, creating a dry and clean biocoal.
