On 25th September 2017, Nature Energy Månsson, a new biogas plant developed in Brande by NGF Nature Energy and organic food producer, Axel Månsson, started producing its first biogas. The plant was officially opened by Denmark's Finance Minister, Kritian Jensen, on 2nd March 2018.
The plant will have a throughput of 150,000 tonnes of animal manure, organic clover and vegetable residues each year. Once fully operational, the plant will supply biogas to 4,000 households and fertiliser for Axel Månsson's vegetable growing operations near the facility. The expected biogas production rate will be around 1.500 Nm3/hour. The plant was built by Hans Jørgensen & Søn.
In October 2017, a spokesperson from Nature Energy told AcuComm that the
plant was in commissioning.
April 2017 - Work on the plant started.
